What is a Podcast?

According to Wikipedia the online encyclopedia, Podcasting is the distribution of audio or video files, such as radio programs or music videos, over the Internet using either RSS or Atom syndication for listening on mobile devices and personal computers. The term podcast, like "radio", can mean both the content and the method of delivery.

This new technology brings the method of sharing God's Word in a whole new way. Once you follow these easy steps you will get the newest message from Destiny Christian Center as soon as it is available. If you are having any problems please feel free to email us. Also note that it is recommended to have a high speed internet connection. The average file size is 5 to 30mb. If you are on a dial-up connection downloads will take some time. Let's get started.

1. Download iTunes softwareimages

Download and install iTunes 7 to your computer. Click this link.
Mac OSX users skip to step 2.
For Microsoft Windows users you must have Windows 2000 or XP. A 500Mhz Pentium class processor or better with 256MB RAM to install iTunes. After you've downloaded and saved this file to your computer open it up and follow the instructions in the software installer. Please be sure to keep this page open as you will need to come back to it for the next step.

After you have successfully installed iTunes 7 on your computer all you've got to do is click on this podcast link. After you have clicked on this link it should automatically open up iTunes on your computer and subscribe you to the Destiny Christian Center Podcast. It will also begin to download the newest podcast available.

Once you have completed these simple steps you will now automatically receive the latest Destiny Podcasts. We try to upload each sermon within a week or so of the recorded date.

3. Listening to our Podcast

You have a few options in the method you choose to listen to our Podcast. You can listen to it on your computer. You can burn it to a CD right in iTunes that you can play in your home or car CD player. You can also listen to it on an iPod or a digital audio player that supports the ACC audio format. If you own a newer iPod you will be able to see the picture of the Sunday's presentation right on the screen!

If you happen to own another MP3 audio player you have two choices. You can convert the Enhanced AAC podcast to and MP3 file in iTunes and then load it manually to your audio player. Your second option is to use our Sermon Download page where the podcast has been converted to MP3 for you and you can manually download each sermon to your computer.
